✨ 'Birrang' - meaning 'Journey Afar' in Wiradjuri language - perfectly captures the spirit of this unique creation, embodying the conference theme "Our Culture. Keep it Strong. We Belong."

🌊 Like the Nautilus, known as the 'Great Migrator' traversing vast oceans and depths, SNAICC delegates journey from all corners of Australia to gather in Meanjin (Brisbane). This powerful symbol connects you to the rich history of the Traditional Custodians, the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples, whose intimate relationship with Maiwar (Brisbane River) is evidenced by the ancient shell middens on its banks.

🤎 Created on Gundungurra Country in the Southern Highlands of NSW, by Wiradyuri woman Fiona Harrison, this bar embodies the connection between land, sea, and Community, strengthening our Cultural bonds with every shared moment.
