Our Milk Chocolate blended with Quandong (Guwandang) & Macadamia Nut (Boombera) is the boss in our chocolate shop, ruling as our biggest selling chocolate.

Our melt-in-the-mouth, creamy milk chocolate is a round and balanced taste with the perfect marriage of cocoa, milk and caramel.

A Quandong is a shiny, bright scarlet, leathery looking fruit, about 2cm in diameter and containing a large nut which is often only marginally smaller than the fruit. It's taste is often described as tart apricot and peach flavour.

Macadamia Nut is a creamy coloured oily nut encased in a very hard shell, with a sweet nutty taste and soft crunch sensation.

TRADITIONAL USE

Quandong was an important food source considered a suitable substitute for meat, especially when hunting game was in short supply.The fruit was valued for its medicinal properties, including skin care.

Macadamia Nut was prized for gifting and bartering and for feasting in annual gatherings at fruiting time.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Quandong has been proven to be highly nutritious, contain twice the Vitamin C of an orange and a blood sugar leveller.

Macadamia Nut does not contain cholesterol and have been shown to help lower blood cholesterol levels, with research indicating that consuming 50-100g daily can decrease blood cholesterol by as much as 7-9% in just 4-weeks. Consuming this amount 5 or more times per week can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease by up to 53%.
