in Oct 18, 2025

Christmas is Coming 🎄🍫

I didn't mean to scare you with the word Christmas- 2025 only just started, right? 😱 But here's the truth: Christmas is creeping up fast, it's definitely begun in the chocolate factory, and I'm absolutely terrible at keeping secrets! 🤭

Christmas at Chocolate On Purpose® is magical. It's meaningful. And it's infused with the ancient wisdom of native botanicals, Wiradyuri cosmology, and a story that's been waiting 65,000 years to be told through chocolate.

Pre-orders are open NOW. Shipping begins 1 December 2025. But first, let me introduce you to someone very special.

Meet Babiin Ngungghi: Father of Giving 🎅🏽✨

In the chocolate factory we have a very special way of celebrating the season. We call him Babiin Ngungghi- Father of Giving. He's not quite the Santa you know from the shopping centres. He's something deeper. Something rooted in 65,000 years of connection.

Are you wondering how Babiin Ngungghi gifts to everyone in just one night? Well, imagine a net woven strong with cords. Not just any cords- cords that unite us all. Each of us sits at a junction where cords are knotted firm. The net provides structure. The cords provide connection. And Babiin Ngungghi? He weaves through that net, visiting every junction, every knot, every person—because we're all interconnected. That's why we mob call each other Cuz, Bruz and Sis! 💛

This isn't magic in the way the movies tell it. This is connection magic. The kind that's been holding our Communities together since the Dreamtime. When you gift Chocolate On Purpose® this Christmas, you're saying: I see you. I honour you. I'm connected to you. We're all part of the same interconnective net.

The Three Sacred Botanicals: Infused With 65,000 Years of Wisdom 🌿

This Christmas, we're celebrating three native botanicals—each one rare, precious, carrying stories that predate European settlement by millennia.

OORAY (Davidson Plum) – White Chocolate 💜

Ooray is a slender tree in subtropical NSW rainforests, bearing deep purple fruits directly on its trunk. It's rare. It's precious. For thousands of years, Indigenous Australians used Ooray as medicine- treating digestion, inflammation, and skin conditions.

Scientific Benefits: Now modern science confirms much of our ancient plant knowledge, with CSIRO research demonstrating this botanical contains powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immune boost (Vitamin C), nutrient-dense (Potassium, Lutein, Vitamin E, Folate, Quercetin, Zinc, Magnesium, Calcium, Phenolics), antibacterial & antiviral, low sugar content.

The Taste: Deep purple, soft juicy pulp, sharp acidity that cuts through sweetness. Sophisticated. Healing. Ancient.

GULALUNG (Finger Lime) – Dark Chocolate 🍋🟩✨

Gulalung is a thorny tree native to Queensland and NSW rainforests. Its finger-shaped fruits contain caviar-like vesicles—tiny pearls of citrus that burst on your tongue. It's luxury. It's nature. The Yugambeh people used Gulalung for millennia- both as food and medicine. The skin heals cuts and wounds.

Scientific Benefits: Now modern science confirms much of our ancient plant knowledge, demonstrating this botanical is an antioxidant powerhouse- immune boost (Vitamin C), nutrient-rich (Folate, Potassium, Vitamin E, 45mg Vitamin C per fruit), antimicrobial & antiviral, anti-inflammatory & blood sugar support, eye health, antibacterial activity proven in Indigenous medicine.

The Taste: Bright, zesty, sophisticated. Citrus sophistication meets dark chocolate's depth. Ancient and modern, tart and rich, healing and indulgent.

MUNTHARI (Muntrie Berry) – Milk Chocolate 🍎💜

Munthari is a prostrate shrub native to South Australia and Victoria coasts, bearing small purple-red berries with spiced apple-like flavour. Staple food for Indigenous peoples for thousands of years- eaten fresh or dried, deeply linked to history, identity, and spirituality.

Meet Our Special Christmas Partner: Kaiyu Superfoods 🌱 Our Munthari comes from Kaiyu Superfoods, an Indigenous-owned business run by Cate & Pete (Awakabal man). They grow Muntries in South Australia, partner with First Nations businesses, and freeze-dry everything in their own shed. This is reciprocal relationship with Country. This is Indigenous community building businesses on their own terms.

Scientific Benefits: Now modern science confirms much of our ancient plant knowledge, demonstrating this berry is an antioxidant powerhouse (4x more powerful than blueberries), superior antioxidant profile (2x more powerful than blueberries), rich mineral source (Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Potassium, Zinc, Sodium), high dietary fibre, anticancer, anti-inflammatory & antimicrobial, excellent wound healer, low calorie, functional food ingredient.

The Taste: Purple-red, spicy apple undertones, smooth milk chocolate embrace. It's comfort. It's connection. It's the taste of Country.
